Mario Kart Tour is the first Mario Kart title to ever be released on a non dedicated Nintendo device, Following popular Nintendo franchises such as Mario, Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem, Mario Kart Tour will finally be releasing on iOS and Android devices on September 25th.

The Mario Kart Tour Beta kicked off earlier this summer and was received with mixed feelings due to the simplicity of the games controls. The mechanics are very simple and adjusted to be played on the go. Players can swipe right and left to turn corners instead of maneuvering with drifts and skills like in mainline Mario Kart games.

Furthermore, players report that the game heavily relies on in-game purchases suggestion a “free to play” model, although the closed beta didn’t let players purchase anything, it will be interesting to see what the final version of the game will offer in terms of micro-transactions. Players have also reported that there would be characters to purchase that can offer special boosts, making fans of the game fear the possibility of pay to win purchases.

However, Mario Kart Tour includes plenty of unique tracks with fun turns and twist that we all came to love and expect from the franchise. Familiar characters, boosts and items are also all part of the mobile version.

Check out the release trailer for Mario Kart Tour. The game will be available on iOS and Android on September 25th and will be free to play. You can already pre-register for the gamer via Nintendos official Mario Kart Tour website.

Mario Kart has been an extremely popular franchise for a very long time now. With much competition from games like Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled and Garfield Kart: Furious Racing, Meow Motors scratches a different itch with a strong focus on our beloved furry cat friends.

Meow Motors is everything you would come to expect from a Kart Racing game. You drift and turn in hopes to claim the victory and much like Mario Kart you can also equip weapons to make your opponents life just a little harder.

In Meow Motors every cat has its own kart that you can use to speed through the many tracks. There are also a total of three different game modes which you can compete in. Drift, in which you have to drift as best as you can through tight corners, Strike where you will need to destroy as many frags as possible and Circle Race which is the traditional racing mode.

The game also features 4 player split-screen multiplayer where you can compete against your enemies across various tracks and game modes.

Meow Motors is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam! Check out the most adorable announcement trailer below!

Mario Kart Tour is the first mobile game based on the popular racing franchise, in fact it has never been available on a non dedicated Nintendo system before. The big N was recruiting beta testers for the game and as the sign-ups came to an end, the beta was finally kicked off yesterday.

With the Mario Kart Tour Beta in full swing, we received a lot of new information and even a gameplay video showing of some fast paced racing. The kart racer is played in portrait mode and just like in Mario Run, players can enjoy the game one handed, as acceleration and drifting is automatic by default, however a pro mode can be enabled in which you gain more control over your driving style.

The games mechanics are very simple and adjusted to be played on the go. Players can swipe right and left to turn corners instead of maneuvering with drifts and skills like in mainline Mario Kart games.

Furthermore, players report that the game relies heavily on in-game purchases suggestion a “free to play” model, although the beta doesn’t let players purchase anything right now, it will be interesting to see what the final version of the game will offer in terms of microtransactions. Currently there are characters for sale that offer special boosts and abilities making it easier to win races.

Check out some of the Mario Kart Tour Beta footage below, keep in mind that everything we know so far is based on a closed beta, this means that things such as gameplay, in-app purchases and other aspects of the game can change drastically before the official release this summer.

Mario Kart Tour is Nintendos next mobile game following the footsteps of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, Fire Emblem, Mario Run and others. The big N has been extremely quiet about the game with no screenshots or videos released yet, however this is about to change with the start of the Beta this week.

Mario Kart Tour is the first time any Mario Kart game will be available on a non dedicated Nintendo system. The upcoming mobile game will feature the charm and fun fans are used to from any Mario Kart game in history, However it is to expect that the title will also come with micro transaction. Nintendo has been receiving praise from fans for making their games fully enjoyable without needing to spend extra money on the game.

Mario Kart Tour Beta signups were open via the official website and people who have registered to participate have been receiving e-mail notification to let them know they have won their entry to the beta. Nintendo also confirmed that the first Mario Kart Tour Beta will begin Wednesday, May 22nd, it is currently only available to android users.

Mario Kart Tour is set to release on Android and iOS this summer. The big N is also working on a new Pokemon Mobile game.

    Post Image

About a month ago, on January 31st, 2018, Nintendo announced on their Twitter account that Mario Kart will be coming to mobile. Mario Kart Tour will be releasing sometime this fiscal year, which goes all the way until March of 2019. For right now, very little is known about the mobile game other than the fact this it’s going to be free-to-start. It would be nice to have a screenshot or two to go off of to get a better idea what the game will be like, but right off the bat, we don’t think this is going to be a typical Mario Kart game.

Of course we’ll still be riding in go karts as our favorite characters, but a spin-off seems way more likely. There could possibly be a bigger focus on other parts of Mario Kart games like battle mode or time trials. Personally, I’d like a see a game focused all around a mission mode, similar to the one in Mario Kart DS. The mission mode in Mario Kart DS was the first and last time we’ve seen a mode like that in a Mario Kart game. In MKDS, each level had 8 missions and once you beat those, a boss battle would become available. Having boss battles in Mario Kart seemed so awesome back in the day and we’d love to see something similar in Mario Kart Tour.

The missions could be similar to the ones we played in Mario Kart DS. Collect item boxes, beat another player in a race, and of course the boss battle at the end. Expanding upon the idea of mission mode could be to make the missions a little bit more advanced, but keeping the simple and easy ones is a good idea too. What if you beat all of the missions the game has to offer, then what? Well, we think it’s very possible that the game will get some updates here and there, adding new content. Another option Nintendo could go with to keep people playing Mario Kart Tour is to add frequent “mission packs” every month or two. In these mission packs, there’d a whole new set of missions to complete. They could even release special holiday packs with missions having a Christmas or Halloween theme. Also, imagine being able to play Mario Kart Tour with friends online!

We’re excited to see what Mario Kart Tour is all about because there’s still so much we don’t know. Like for example, the controls. How will the game be played? Are we going to be racing in a Grand Prix, completing missions, or maybe something entirely different? Either way, hopefully we find out more information about Mario Kart Tour sooner rather than later!
