The developers of Little Witch in the Woods shared a look at the catalogue in their upcoming magical adventure game.

So little has been revealed about the adorable upcoming Little Witch in the Woods, I am totally ecstatic any time a new treat is shared by Sunny Side Up (the developing team). They have slowly but surely been helping everyone stay up to speed with what is happening behind the scenes while they develop their game.

This time, the new goodie came in the form of a Tweet. It features a little gif showing what the catalogue system in the game will look like. You will have a book that has separate categories for items, animals, and plants that you discover along your journey. Always a handy feature when exploring an unknown world, especially on that is filled with so many wondrous things not found in the real world.

The gif also shows a bit of the environment around Ellie (the little witch), revealing just a bit more of what gameplay will look like in this adorable indie. The developers also revealed a closer look at gameplay when they released a new trailer earlier this year.

Another recent Tweet from the developers showed a large tree that was growing in the middle of a pond. Glowing butterflies lit the area, and made for quite a mysterious scene.

There are so many questions I’d love to ask, but the developers are very selective and secretive about what they reveal, not wanting to share features before they are sure they will make it into the final game.

The developers of Little Witch In The Woods have released a new trailer featuring loads of gameplay!

Little Witch in the Woods is a fantasy role playing game where you get to live the life of a witch. The ability to use magic always adds such a special component to any game, especially adorable sim-life games like this one.

You play as Ellie, a little witch that has just come to a new town, and you are set to be a part of a “witch’s house”. Only, when you arrive, it appears that the town is near empty, and the witch’s house is in disrepair.

It is your task to help rebuild things to the way they are meant to be. Meet many friends along the way, and learn much about the world of magic, and what it means to be a witch.

    About the new trailer.

In cooperation with the recent Wholesome Direct from the Twitter account WholesomeGames, the developers have shared a short new video featuring gameplay from their upcoming game. This footage has never been seen before, and was exclusive to the Wholesome Direct.

Recently, the admins of the WholesomeGames Twitter account separated the footage into its very own tweet, which you can view below.

Japan has become the status symbol for everything cute and adorable ( at least in the Animal Crossing World ) and this title made by a small indie development team known for Food Truck Pup is now making a life simulation game about Japanese Rural Life!

Game Start LLC is a small development team that recently caught my attention for their adorable mobile game Food Truck Pup, where you play as a pup and run a food truck in a village filled with other puppies, its adorable and tons of fun. You can read more about it here.

    Japanese Rural Life

The small team has not revealed a lot of information as of yet. They did however tease us with a first screenshot that not only features an adorable art style but also gives us a first look at what the game may entail!

    Farming, lots of farming!

The first screenshot of the game does feature what appears to be a garden and could hint at an extensive gardening focus in the game. You can already see that the little guy in the image is hard at work growing, carrots, turnips and more!

    Fishy, fishy, fishy…

The little garden plot in front of the cabin also includes a tiny pond with a fish in it. Since this game is a life simulation game with a focus on farming I would think that this little pond is used to raise fish and farm fish!

    Japanese Rural Life Release Date!

This article was updated with the most recent information on June 6th, 2021.

The developer recently lifted the curtain on the Japanese Rural Life Release Date and revealed some adorable details about a mountain candy shop, take a peak right here.

In a recent Tweet from Sunny Side Up studios, we get a closer peek at a dialog scene in Little Witch in the Woods.

The super adorable life sim Little Witch In The Woods is a title that I just cannot wait for. Living the life of a witch in a whimsical world, what’s not to love? This game is poised to be Stardew Valley of magical beings and enchanted lands. The developers even mentioned taking some inspiration from Animal Crossing!

For those that may not follow the developers on Twitter, they just revealed a short new video that gave us closer look at what a dialog scene will be like. The video features a conversation between the main character, Ellie, and what looks like cat-person bartender.

Graveyard keepers has often been compared to Stardew Valley with a creepy twist. Instead of growing pretty flowers and yummy veggies, you find yourself working on a graveyard tending to dead bodies. Just in time for Halloween the game gets a DLC called Stranger Sins.

    About Graveyard Keeper

Graveyard Keeper takes the player back to medieval time, where you will have to take on all the responsibilities of a cemetery manager. The simulation game allows you gather resources to create your very own environment by building and managing your own graveyard, finding ways to cut costs and make sure that all the dead find rest and peace.

Of course the game delivers this dark-ish gameplay with a pinch of humor. For example you can also turn to more fun activities like witch-burning festivals, or simply strolling through your yard and scaring nearby villagers into attending church – the choices are yours!

What’s New in The Stranger Sins DLC?

The upcoming Stranger Sins DLC will add an additional 4-8 hours of gameplay that will come in the form of dozens of new quests from the villagers. It also adds the option to build and run you very own tavern. As a special treat fans can learn and witness the events of 200 years ago to learn more about the worlds story and your personal heritage in the game.

The Stranger Sins DLC will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Steam on October 28th.

Graveyard Keeper Stranger Sins DLC Features

    • 4-8 hours of extra gameplay.
    • Build and run your own tavern. Finally you will have your own bar!
    • Arrange the Rat race and Stand-up events.
    • Get to know villagers better by completing dozens of new quests.
    • Help Gerry to do the total recall.
    • Witness the events of 200 years ago that will reveal the history of the game world and your role in it.

We have reached out to the developers of Little Witch in the Woods, and here is what they would share!

We just can’t get enough of Little Witch in the Woods, the most adorable sim-life RPG currently in the works by Sunny Side Up Games. Given the lovely response from the community, we decided to reach out to the developers to see how much they would be willing to share about their ultra-magical and super cute game. They agreed to share their most valuable time with us, to let us get a closer look.

We would like to mention that Little Witch in the Woods is still currently in development, and any details about the game are subject to change. We would also like to mention that, seeing as how the Sunny Side Up studio is located in South Korea, there was a bit of a language barrier between interviewer and interviewee.

Who is the team at Sunny Side Up games, and what are your favorite games?

‘Sunny Side Up’ is a game development team. We are developing game in South Korea and consist of 4 members. Since we’re a small team, each person has been doing many things. There are a lot of difficulties, but we feel happiness because we are making the game to have been dreamed. We hope game players love our game too.

What sort of games inspired the creation of Little Witch in the Woods?

The first time we had idea “What happens if we add witch’s story to ‘Stardew valley’?” Furthermore, we wanted to give players a chance to experience the daily life of a witch. Since we thought we needed more other things to do that, we played a lot of games. Among so many games, Animal crossing inspired and helpful for making idea.

What platforms do you intend the game to be on?

We plan to release ‘Little Witch in the Woods’ on Steam. We are trying to release Nintendo Switch and PS4 if it can.

Do you have any idea as to a release date?

It is currently developing the game with a goal of releasing it in fall of 2020. For those of you waiting, it is also considering releasing the demo version earlier (it’s not yet confirmed).

What are your favorite unique additions to the game so far?

It may sound funny, but you know the parts where each user feels unique will be different.

We don’t focus on function. Sunny Side up is developing the game with a focus on the emotions and experiences that players can feel.

If someone can feel the emotion that we’re trying to convey in any part of the video game, that very part will be a unique part to the player.

Do you plan for there to be any sort of online functionality Little Witch in the Woods?

Currently, only a single play version is planned.
If the game goes well and many game users want it, we’d like to add online functionality later.

Is there anything special that you would like to say to the followers of your game.

Thank you for your interest. I’m so touched by your warm support. I’ll repay you with AMAZING game. I really really hope ‘Little Witch in the Woods’ will give you happiness and moving when you guys play it. We will continue to communicate about the develop process and the special issues that we’re going to have to deal with through Twitter. I am not good at English, so it’s hard to answer your reply and comments but I’m understand most of your reply meaning and your thoughtful heart. Please understand that I often have used the wrong grammar. Thank you so much again.

Big Thanks to Sunny Side Up

We at myPotatoGames would like to extend a huge thank you to Sunny Side Up games for taking the time share more about their game with us. And also for making such an amazingly adorable game like Little Witch in the Woods. We wish them all the best with the rest of development, and cannot wait to get to try the game for ourselves.
