In Ooblets, you will get to fully customize your character with a ton of different styles and accessories. Then, spend your days renovating your farm. Turn your ramshackle home into a beautiful place with numerous design items and pieces of furniture you can collect.
Grow some otherworldly crops, make them into treats, and sell them in your shop located in town. Raise weird, magical creatures called ooblets to participate in dance tournaments. Build your team of ooblets and level them up to win the card-based dance-offs with wild ooblets or other ooblet trainers.
You’ll also get to explore numerous unique regions, all of which have different characteristics and plant life to discover. Forge new friendships with the townsfolk, and help the mayor save Badgetown. Perhaps even join a club that suits you. Play mini games and take part in daily challenges, such as dance-offs, quests, and earning badges. You may even unearth some secrets along the way!
Wholesome Games announced on their official Twitter that Ooblets is not only releasing on Nintendo Switch on September 1st, but that version 1.0 will also be available. Unfortunately, no release date has been released for the Steam version, though you can add it to your wishlist. Xbox players can also find the game here. You can also find it on the Epic Games store.
You can check out our coverage of previous Ooblets updates here.

Continuing today with The Summer Game Fest, Epic Games had their own showcase and caught my eye with Tchia. This sandbox adventure game is inspired by New Caledonia with mountains to climb, lagoons to dive in, and archipelagos to sail across! The new video with developer Awaceb below, gives us a look at the game feature of “soul-jumping”.
Soul jumping allows Tchia to take control of, not only over 30 types of animals, but over 100 objects as well! For example, you can fly in the sky as a bird, explore the ocean as a fish, and dig for treasure as a dog. With different abilities, you can solve puzzles and uncover hidden secrets. I mean, check out that coconut with sunglasses enjoying the beach.
Tchia is coming to The Epic Games Store, but also the PS4 and the PS5 in early 2023. For more fun in the sun, check out Koa and the Five Pirates of Mara.

In Ooblets latest update (0.99), you can run your own shop, complete new Wildlands quests, and embark on missions from townspeople to find their missing Ooblets.
The Ooblets developers already gave us the ability to “put things on things”, which now seemed like the perfect precursor to being able to display things for your very own store! Remember that one door in town you just couldn’t open? Well, now you can! With tables and shelves, you can sell your extra accessories, food you cook, and any other items! No more deleting items out of existence and gaining nothing in return! Furthermore, you can customize your shop’s wallpaper and flooring, and use whatever else you already purchased for your home to decorate.
Another new major feature is to add things to do in the Wildlands. Before, you had to just leave your duplicate Ooblets alone and forget about them. Now, you can visit the Wildlands for seed requests, mystery can cleanup, watering plants, and retrieving Ooblets that have wandered out. It seems that even the townsfolk of Badgetown have runaway Ooblets in need of retrieval!
This adorable creature farming sim is created by indie team Glumberland. If you missed their last big update, check out what was added here. Ooblets is available in Early Access now on PC here and Xbox here. Although, note that there now has been a small price hike since the game’s humble beginnings.

Wattam is a puzzle adventure game developed by Funomena, published by Annapurna Interactive, and imagined by the beautiful and weird mind of Keita Takahashi (creator of Katamari Damacy). In this game you are the Mayor and you can make friends and have fun in single-player or in local co-op. I’ve been looking forward to holding hands with creatures that resemble toilets and poop, food and utensils, for a while now. They’re my brothers-in-arms, if you will, since I’m also a potato with a face. As of today, December 17th, 2019, we can do just that as Wattam is finally out on the PS4 and Epic Games Store for only $19.99 US!
What’s even more amazing is that iam8bit, a production company, is officially selling physical copies of Wattam for the PS4 with 3 alternative covers! You can pre-order your copy here for $29.99 which will ship in Q2 2020, if you’ve decided on which cover you’re going to get, Sushi, Apple, or Sun. Here’s the details of the listing:
As a special bonus, a handful of randomly selected orders will receive a one-of-a-kind, original drawing by Keita Takahashi. These drawings will remain a surprise until orders ship.
You can also purchase a vinyl soundtrack and lanyard from the same website here. This is too wholesome to miss out on!

It was announced last week that Untitled Goose Game was coming to the PS4 and Xbox One on December 17th, 2019. Well now that day has come and with it, a new free Dynamic Theme created by Truant Pixel (in collaboration with House House and Panic) on The PlayStation Store here.
This hilarious new theme for the PS4 features the horrible goose on top of a large pile of stolen objects stacked in a pond. It also comes with some background sound effects and some honking text! Every now and again when you look up to see what that mischievous goose is up to, you can find it with things in its mouth such as keys, a fork, a rose, etc. It will also run across your screen so keep an eye on that foul fowl!
Of course, this makes me extremely jealous of the PS4 as I played my copy on the Nintendo Switch. Who wouldn’t want to be greeted by this marvelous display of shenanigans every time they turn their console on? I’d love for the Nintendo Switch to have avatars, dynamic themes, or other such free content for my home screen! For now, I’m still going to download this theme for my PS4.
I’m also still lamenting the fact that I can’t have Untitled Beaker Game. We can, however, have the best socks money can buy from the official website of Untitled Goose Game which you can check out here as a great gift for the holidays!
