Farm and Dance Your Way to Success

In Ooblets, you will get to fully customize your character with a ton of different styles and accessories. Then, spend your days renovating your farm. Turn your ramshackle home into a beautiful place with numerous design items and pieces of furniture you can collect.

Grow some otherworldly crops, make them into treats, and sell them in your shop located in town. Raise weird, magical creatures called ooblets to participate in dance tournaments. Build your team of ooblets and level them up to win the card-based dance-offs with wild ooblets or other ooblet trainers.

You’ll also get to explore numerous unique regions, all of which have different characteristics and plant life to discover. Forge new friendships with the townsfolk, and help the mayor save Badgetown. Perhaps even join a club that suits you. Play mini games and take part in daily challenges, such as dance-offs, quests, and earning badges. You may even unearth some secrets along the way!

Raise, Breed, Go on Adventures with Adorable Pets

The developers behind Pokemon Go and Pikmin Bloom, Niantic, have recently announced their latest AR (augmented reality) game with uniquely original virtual pets, Tamagotchi-style like Melbits. Peridots are creatures that are near extinction and need our help to survive and thrive to adulthood!

This new adorable species comes in a variety of shapes, colors, and sizes, with the possibility of breeding them with other players around the world to create even more types! You can even have them resembling cheetahs, dragons, unicorns, or anything else you can imagine! To help your Peridots grow up, you can pet, play, feed, and teach them tricks. Furthermore, you can take walks and travel the real world with your pets and discover new places and items together. Also, to save these memories, take photos and videos!

Niantic plans to soft-launch the game for both iOS and Android sometime this April. You can pre-register now for Peridot on mobile here on Niantic’s official website!

The adorable life sim + creature collection game Ova Magica is looking for your help!

Ova Magica is a super cute indie game that has everything a life sim lover could want. This captivating life sim has farming, crafting, resourcing and even a bit of creature collection with turn based battles! The developer of the game has recently announced that she is ready to launch the Kickstarter campaign for the game, allowing others to be a part of the creation of this wonderfully charming upcoming adventure.

    Harvesting some sweet honey!

    Why back on Kickstarter?

For those unfamiliar with the platform, Kickstarter (in this instance) allows developers to reach out to the gaming community to monetarily aid in the production of a game. In doing so, the “backer” entitles themselves to some pretty sweet goodies, as well as the knowledge that they helped something amazing become everything it was meant to be.

Perfect place to share a meal.

From what has been shared by the developer so far, I can only imagine that the funding is for publishing, because the game looks absolutely perfect. The adorable graphics and expansive features list make Ova Magica a rare gem that I personally have been looking forward to for quite some time.

Click here to check out the Kickstarter now!

Wishlist this absolutely adorable farming game now to get notified of launch.

Ova Magica is a super cute farming indie game that is currently in development. This captivating life sim has farming, crafting, resourcing, fishing, bug catching and even a bit of creature collection with turn based battles. Its basically all the best genres wrapped in one endlessly charming package!

    It’s blob battlin’ time!

Recently, the developer has been hard at work getting the word out about her unique and wonderful title. This included creating an in-depth new trailer to give a close look at how the game is coming along. Not only that, it appears that Claudia (our solo developer) has also signed on with Top Hat Studios to publish her game.

It appears certainly appears that things are going quite smoothly for the development of Ova Magica, which is super awesome considering how amazing the game looks already. Ova Magica will be releasing on PC and consoles (including Nintendo Switch) in 2022.

Ova Magica is an absolutely adorable upcoming farming sim with loads of charm!

I am always on the lookout for upcoming adorable Indies that have major potential, and a super cute aesthetic to boot. Well, Ova Magica certainly appears to have it all. This captivating life sim has farming, crafting, resourcing and even a bit of creature collection with turn based battles! It’s like all of my favorite game features have been rolled into one delightfully darling package!

    Ova Magica

What you should know about Ova Magica.

One important thing to keep in mind is that, while Ova Magica may look absolutely perfect, the game is still heavily in development. However, the developer, who goes by the name of Claudia, has reached the point where she is comfortable enough to release a wonderful reveal trailer to the world, which can be viewed below.

Also, given all the amazing features listed above, it comes as no surprise that the developer has mentioned taking inspiration some of my favorite games of all time; Harvest Moon, Pokemon, Azure Dreams, Stardew Valley and Grandia. We can expect to see many other features from our favorite classic titles, like bug catching, fishing, seasons and weather effects, shooting stars on beautiful nights, and even dating and relationships.

    Ova Magica
A little date by the beach.

    A bit of plot.

From what I could gather, the game takes place in an adorable little town modeled after the developers hometown in Germany. At the start of the game, you will pick your starter “blob” that will aid you in your journey. You will also be placed on an abandoned farm and will be tasked with building it up with resources and the tools that you learn to make along the way.

Much like Pokemon, as you advance through the game, the creatures at your command will grow and become stronger, learning new skills for battle. You will also be able to breed the creatures to help add to your little precious army, with over a thousand possible outcomes.

    Ova Magica
Do some bee keeping with your companions.

You will be able to customize your farm using many helpful tools meant to expand and expedite the horticulture process. You will even be able to decorate the interior of your home, much like Stardew, but with a much healthier focus on cutesy graphics.

    More Info

All this to say, Ova Magica is one epic indie that I will surely be keeping an eye on from here out. If you’d also like to stay tuned to see more, be sure to follow the developer on Twitter.

Also, there is mention of the game coming to Kickstarter in the not too distant future (early 2021). That is one event you won’t want to miss if you’d like to be a part of the creation of Ova Magica.

The massive multiplayer online creature collection game, Temtem, has reached 500,000 copies sold.

Since its release on Steam last month, Temtem has received overwhelmingly positive reviews. Players are raving about how much this game has to offer by way of features that improve upon the creature collection genre. Certain things that the Pokemon franchise was never quite able to perfect, like smooth running and in-depth multiplayer.

After only one month of being able to be purchased in Early Access, Temtem has already surpassed half a million copies sold. Given that the game is still technically in development, that is quite an amazing number indeed.

On top of that, Temtem has already received more than 16,000 reviews on Steam, with an overall tone of very positive. Not surprising, considering just how well made this indie game truly is. Fans of the genre agree that Temtem has certainly carved out a spot for itself in the creature collection world.

For more information on Temtem, as well as the chance to try it for yourself, you can check out the game on Steam. The game currently costs $34.99, is available only on PC.

The upcoming creature-collection game, Temtem, now has a video showing the starter monsters.

Temtem, which is certainly inspired by Pokemon and other creature collection franchises, takes place in the aesthetic Airborne Archipelago and is described by Crema as “a massively multiplayer creature-collection adventure”. Alongside your Temtem squad, you can catch and collect Temtems, battle rival tamers, customize your house, join in on a friend’s adventure and explore a dynamic online world.

    Temtem

Having just announced that the game will be available in early access, the publishers have now released a video showing what the starter monsters look like. For those new the genre, the starter monsters are usually the creatures that you get to pick from at the start of the game, without having to do anything to earn them.

Like many games before it, Temtem offers the option of three different starter monsters. In the video, you get a decent description of the creatures. The overview includes types, abilities, strengths and weakness; pretty much everything you need to know to make your decision before jumping into the game.

    Temtem Starter Video

Temtem is scheduled to release on January 21st, 2020. For more information on the game, you can Check out the steam page. Be sure to wishlist while you are there. From more awesome games like Temtem, check out my coverage of Pokemon Sword & Shield.
