Play as a Tiny Bear Chef in a Regular Sized Kitchen

New game alert! Today Little Bear Chef just premiered, a cozy 3D cooking platformer. The bear in question looks like an adorable bottle of honey named Chef Toto.

It looks like in the game trailer below, that you’ll have to come up with unique ways to use ingredients that are bigger than you. The platforming aspect is probably due to having to jump around on cooking utensils and appliances and Rube Goldberg your way to creating dishes.

Coming to PC and Consoles in 2023

Little Bear Chef is being developed by BananaBox, and is coming to PC and consoles (potentially later) in 2023. Since Little Bear Chef just debuted, there’s not much more information or a Steam Page as of yet.

In a recent chat with devs, I learned that Cooking Mama Cookstar is still being updated and polished.

Since the last time I covered it, Cooking Mama Cookstar has gone through many changes and updates, making it a game worthy of the Nintendo Switch. In the beginning, many didn’t think it was likely that this game would live up to the reputation of its predecessors.

After an in-depth chat with the developers, iI learned that the initial patches would be just the beginning of the changes coming to Cooking Mama Cookstar. A few patches were then released to fix some of the issues, and I have no doubt that there will be more fine tuning to come.

    Cooking Mama Cookstar

I’d say that this is most wonderful news indeed, seeing as how there wasn’t supposed to be another Cooking Mama game…ever. In its current state, I can personally say that Cooking Mama Cookstar is definitely worth the time and attention of all fans of the Cooking Mama franchise.

This title is super cute and addicting, just like any cooking game should be. It is very exciting to see that the game is still more than the negative press it has received (mostly false accusations and bandwagon negativity), and that it continues to improve and grow.

    cooking mama cookstar

While the game is currently not available through the Nintendo eShop, you can still find it on Amazon, and I was personally able to secure a few hardcopies for fans of both Cooking Mama and myPotatogames.

    How to enter!

I have four copies to share with my friends (one lucky winner will also receive a Cooking Mama plushie with their copy), and all you have to do is comment on this post that you would like to enter, and share to FaceBook or Retweet on Twitter. I will take it from there. Winners will be announced one week from today, on January 29th, 2021.

If you would like to just skip the giveaway and secure a copy for yourself now, visit the official website for the game. There you will find more information about Cookstar, as well as directions to where you may purchase a copy (available in limited supply, hopefully more coming soon).

Good luck to all who participate, and I hope you enjoy Cooking Mama Cookstar as much as I have.

The first Cook, Serve, Delicious! game came to PC and mobile devices in 2013. Selling more than a million copies, it was more than popular enough to warrant a sequel. Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2 was released for PC, Switch, PS4 and Xbox One, as well as Mac and Linux.

Now we have word that a third entry into the series will be entering the Early Access phase in January 2020. It even has a listing on Steam already! At myPotatoGames, we’re always into a good cooking game, but the food in Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3 looks so tasty that we fear that playing it may expand not only our cooking repertoire, but also our waistlines.

Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3 - Beef Sunrise Asian food bowl
We could go for one of these RIGHT NOW.

Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3 is set in a war-torn country that is what remains of the United States’ in 2042. But you can still make gorgeous-looking food from all over the world. Noodle bowls, ratatouille, ice cream, grilled-cheese sandwiches, poutine…oh my! (Please ignore the drooling potatoes behind the screen.) The world of traveling cuisine has become quite rough in 2042. In this version, you will occasionally need to defend your food truck from competitors. If you don’t, you could lose time on the way to the country’s new capital city of Nashville, Tennessee. There you must take part in a cooking contest to prove that you are the best in the world!

Vertigo Gaming Inc hopes to have Cook, Serve, Delicious 3! in early access for 6 to 8 months and be able to release the full version in Q3 of 2020. No word yet on which platforms the completed game will be available.

For more deliciously related news, Cooking Mama is coming back! And it’s going to be on Nintendo Switch!
