The SNES Controller for the Nintendo Switch is now available for purchase!

If, like me, you have been really getting into the SNES Arcade now available on Switch, then there is good news. A new accessory will make these games a bit more accessible. Super Mario World would play a lot better if could run without feeling that right joystick bugging me. The new SNES Controller should cure many woes when comes to playing the classics.

Well, we can now play more comfortably and complete our nostalgia package with an official Nintendo Switch controller designed after the classic SNES Controller. Speaking of comfort, the controller will connect wirelessly. A little less burdensome than its predecessor, the original SNES Controller.

The controller is only available for purchase to those with a Nintendo Switch Online account. Also, you can only purchase four controllers on each NSO account, but who needs more than four anyway? It comes with its own USB cord for charging, but you can also use the AC adapter that came with your Switch.

I can’t wait to get one of my own. If you’d like your Super Nintendo Controller now, you can visit the official Nintendo website. For more great Nintendo Switch accessories, check out our list of ones you can’t miss.

Mi amo es Rio.  I’m a hardcore game person with an affinity for writing and other word-related whatnots. My main loves in life are my son (Kaiden), the island on which I live (Kauai), and all things gaming.  The rest of my loves include most living things...and non-living things, too. Dont worry, be happy.

I loved the purple / gray scheme of the US SNES. I think it’s been my all time favorite console appearance.

I agree that it was certainly a smooth look. Idky, but I’ve always been into the look of the transparent orange version of the N64. Most likely bc I had one as a kid. But it really stand out in my memory as looking especially awesome.
