Since the Sims 4 released in September of 2014, people have been clamoring for pets. While Maxix and Ea have created and improved upon many features in the previous Sims games (Vampires anyone?), they have been quiet on when we would see pets in the game.
The announcement about the pets expansion came today at Gamecon from Publisher EA. The new expansion will be appropriately named Cats and Dogs and is due to be released November 10th. The expansion will add a robust tool in “create a pet” that will add tons of customization to your furry friend. The customization includes detailing the age, breed (you can mix breeds!), and personality traits. You can also, for the first time, add clothing to your pet as well.
The expansion will include a new profession in the Veterinarian and players will be able to create their own Vet Clinic from the ground up.
Like previous expansions, a new locale will be added called Brindleton Bay. Brindleton Bay is a coastal locale and is centered around pets. Some of the activities that involve Pets includes playing fetch, obstacle courses, and picking up the occasional stray cat or dog.
According to a listing on Origin, the new expansion will cost $39.99.
