Nintendo has stated that the first Pokemon Switch Game will be released in 2018 or later. A new localization job listing by The Pokemon Company has fueled the rumors of a 2018 released even more. According to that listing the company is hiring localization editors on a 6 months contract. The jobs perfect applicant will be responsible for editorial facets of video games and other related materials, such as video game strategy guides and websites.
Furthermore the role is anticipated to commence between April and June of 2018, making for a perfect 2018 release of Pokemon Switch. For comparison, the translation work for Pokemon Sun and Moon took place in early January, therefore it makes sense that we see a similar pattern for Pokemon Switch.
