Nintendo has finally announced Nintendo Switch Rewards. Switch players have been waiting for something to spend their gold coins on for quite some time now. The big N will start offering rewards to Nintendo Switch users in March. Players can use their gold coins to get free games, or discounts on any purchases made on the Nintendo eShop.

Nintendo will also be changing the way gold coins are earned. One single Gold Point will equal 1 cent, should you have 1000 Gold coins, you can buy a $10 game, or get a $10 discount towards a more expensive game. You will also be earning 5% gold coins on most purchases made in the eShop. Check out the new structures for Nintendo Switch Rewards starting in March.

Download Games:

• Nintendo Switch games and DLC on Nintendo eShop: 5% of the total paid amount
• Nintendo 3DS games and Wii U games on Nintendo eShop: 5% of the total paid amount
• Download codes: 5% of the undiscounted Nintendo eShop price of the same content

Game Cards:

• Nintendo Switch Games: 1% of the Nintendo eShop price of that game
