The Nintendo Wii’s pointer controls were jerky, and clunky at best. It can be frustrating navigating around a game when the cursors jumps from one corner to another. The Nintendo Switch does not come with a motion detection bar like the Wii did. However the newly released World of Goo supports the exact same Pointer Controls without the need of a motion bar, and they work remarkably well!
Below is a video showing of the Pointer Motion Controls on the Wii and comparing it to the Nintendo Switch. The Switch masters the controls visibly better, without the need of any additional hardware.
