The Nintendo Switch comes with very little to no 3rd Party App Support. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and other streaming services are missing from the Hybrid Console so far. However, Nintendo has announced that the company is contact with the streaming services to bring a dedicated app to the Nintendo Switch. This will allow any owner of the console to watch and enjoy their favorite Shows and movies on the go, as well as on the big screen. The official statement from Nintendo can be seen below. The Nintendo Switch has been released on March 3rd and is since then sold out at most major retailers like Amazon, Target, Best Buy, Toys “R” Us and more. Nintendo promised to restock the shelves as soon as they can.
“We’re talking to a range of companies about other services, companies like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon — things that will come in time,” said Fils-Aime. “In our view, these are not differentiators. What differentiates us is the way you play with the Nintendo Switch and what you can play. And that will continue to be our focus into the future as we continue driving this platform.”
