The Nintendo Switch is almost here with a release date set for tomorrow March 3rd. The day one patch needed to make use of the online features for the console is already released. Lucky people who are in possession of a Switch have downloaded the patch and detailed the way friends can be added. You may want to add your friends to play together online, exchange messages and more.
The main way to add friends will be by using a 12 digit friend code. You will obtain this code once you set up your account, and you may give it to people you wish to add to your friends list. However, you can also add friends by searching for players you recently played with online. Check the list of possibilities bellow.

- Search for Local Users
- Search for Users YOu’ve Played With
- Search with Friend Code (12 digit)
- Sent Friend Requests
You may also add friends from Nintendo’s mobile games like Miitomo and Super Mario Run.
