Nintendo Live Event To Feature Animal Crossing New Horizons

The wave of news for Animal Crossing New Horizons might have slowed down a little bit but as we are getting closer to the actual release date in March 2020, we are also beginning to see more details of the game emerging.

The Nintendo Live will take place on October 13th and October 14th and if you aren’t aware of this event, you can simply compare it to a Japanese version of the E3. Nintendo will hold several tournaments for Splatoon 2 and Smash Bros. Ultimate.

But what really caught my eye is that according to the official website, Nintendo will showcase Animal Crossing New Horizons as well. Only few details about this appearance have been announced, but the big N will be showing off some gameplay and possibly reveal some more details about the upcoming village simulation game. Lucky attenandas can even participate in a lottery where themed towels and other merchandise are being given out.

It will be interesting to see how much Nintendo will show, given that the company is currently busy promoting their big next title Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. Once these titles are released we will be sure to see a lot more focus on Animal Crossing New Horizons.

myPotatoGames was founded out of our huge love for Animal Crossing, besides spending a lot of time taking care of my virtual village I enjoy painting, creating things or looking up funny and cute dog pictures on the internet. My preferred office location is somewhere on a remote island, in the middle of the South Pacific.

I hope that they will show more things to do on the island. In the previous games I always wished there was more than collecting stuff for the museum and decorating the town. I really enjoyed working for Nook or Brewster, but I hope they add more of a job system to help fill the time. Maybe if they do something like in Happy Home Designer, but with a reward, or something simple like cleaning the houses of the villagers and you have the chance to find rewards hidden in their house? Something like that would be awesome! Also if they added more to do in the middle of the night, like a casino or a special midnight market so people who play more at night have more to do.

I love those ideas! There are just so many possibilities to make this game the greatest game ever made ( at least in my personal opinion ). I would love for them to add the ability to own and run stores. Similar to Pocket Camps market boxes but with an actual store front other players can visit and browse. Decorate it for the holidays, sell special and rare items or simply concentrate on the crafted items you love to make. I think this would be awesome and could function similar to Nooks super store, but this time its player run. Need the last piece for your furniture collection? browser player stores.

Yeah! They could have different items that are “hot” each month which would affect the villager’s interest! I definitely like the idea of decorating the shop, maybe you can hire villagers to work at your shop and how they do their job is affected by their personality (I’d love to see more aspects of the personalities shine through).
