Animal Crossing is one of the most popular franchises among casual gamers. The game has sold dozens of millions of copies, and fans are impatient waiting for a new Animal Crossing coming to the Nintendo Switch. Mineko’s Night Market aims to fill this gap, by providing a new game with a lot of similiarties to make Animal Crossing fans feel right at home.

In Mineko’s Night Market, you step into the role of a tiny cute character, who owns a night market with delicious treats. Building a successful Night Market is your key focus, and doing so requires you to practice a lot of different skills. While the market is closed during the day, you will have to explore the forest, or the countryside to hunt for items, rare items and to discover the secrets hidden in the world. The game will also feature seasons, from summer, fall, winter to spring!

In the first trailer we can see some farming and mining elements. Character interaction, exploring and what appears to be crafting can all be admired in the gameplay trailer. You can watch the adorable video below.

Mineko’s Night Market was first announced to be released on PC and Mobile but the information has since been removed from the official website. Given the controller UI that is shown in the video – console support seems to be likely. The game however, is set to be released later this year.

Update: The Game has been confirmed to be released on PC and Mac first.
