Rumors have been circulating for a while pointing to a possible Nintendo Direct in January. This is usually a safe bet, as most recent years all featured a direct in the first month of the year. This time around the big N switched things up by featuring only indie games during the most recent Nintendo Indie Highlight. 

Many fans have been waiting for an Animal Crossing Switch reveal. There has been now news surrounding the beloved series since the initial announcement many months ago. 

Nintendo put together a 16 minute long video featuring upcoming indie games such as Chucklefish’s Wargroove, SteamWorld Quest, CrossCode and more. Indie games have been mighty popular on the Nintendo Switch eShop. Stardew Valley being one of the most popular game since its release on the hybrid console earlier last year.
