Build-A-Bear just announced two new outfits for Tom Nook and Isabelle launching tomorrow.
For the ones who don’t know Nintendo and Build-A-Bear teamed to create the arguably most adorable collecting for the company yet.
Build-A-Bear has just announced that they will begin sales of their new clothing collection for the Animal Crossing: New Horizons plushies starting at 09:30 CST on May 11th, 2021. That’s right, it’s happening tomorrow. You can finally get (possibly) your favorite Animal Crossing character in Build-A-Bear form.
Just like the last few times, Build-A-Bear also announced that there will be a virtual waiting room ,as they expect demand to be quite high. The company mentioned that interested patrons should join the virtual waiting room before 10:00 am CST. You will then be assigned a random spot in line once the sales start. Sounds like it will definitely be one of those “get it while you can” scenes.
In addition Build-A-Bear also announced a new villager becoming available this summer – so there is hope we will be getting some of favorite villagers in the future!
Update: The new outfit is not currently being offered as a separate item, if you’d like the winter outfit you will have to purchase the new Tom Nook and Isabelle plushie.

Nintendo shared some great news for the Animal Crossing franchise today.
Animal Crossing New Horizons launched in March of 2020 and since then the hype for the game has barely slowed down. Within its first few weeks it nearly passed the lifetime sales of New Leaf, a game that had nearly 8 years to accumulate the same amount of sales.
Today Nintendo announced that Animal Crossing New Horizons has passed 32 million sales making it the second most popular Nintendo Switch game, barely tailing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with 34 million sales. Keep in mind the kart racer launched the same month the Nintendo Switch console did and had a lot more time ship copies of the game.
Fans crave more content
What is interesting about these numbers is that despite New Horizons performing so well commercially, content updates for the game are rather spare. New Leaf has only received one update during its lifetime to introduce the Amiibo functionality. But in comparison to New Horizons the 3DS game launched with a bunch more features and is considered a more complete game among fans.
New Horizons is lacking fan favorite characters such as Brewster and his beloved coffee shop, Leifs own Garden store, Club LOL and other things players would like to see.
We can only hope that Nintendo will turn some of these profits into making Animal Crossing New Horizons an even more amazing game with content to enjoy for many more years to come.

Update: Animal Crossing Build-A-Bear back in stock!
After the initial launch fans were somewhat disappointed to find out that Build-A-Bear is only offering Isabelle and Tom Nook as the first ever customizable AC characters in a Build-A-Bear shop, however, both versions sold out within an hour leaving fans wanting.
Build-A-Bear quickly promised that a restock would be happening and today the plushie company announced that Today you will be able to enter the queue again in hopes to bring home Isabelle and/or Tom Nook.
How to pre-order your Animal Crossing Build-A-Bear
All you have to do is visit the official Build-A-Bear website before 10am Central Time, preferably around 9.30am Central Time. You will be entered into a queue automatically, there is no need for you to refresh the page or do anything but wait until you will be forwarded into the ship where you can make your desired selections.
More Villagers are coming

Animal Crossing New Horizons fans have created a petition to ask Nintendo for better and richer content updates.
Animal Crossing New Horizons launched over a year ago and since then we have received multiple content updates some of them featuring new gameplay while others only add minor twists.
If you look at the history of the Animal Crossing franchise and compare it to the newest installment, it is obvious that some beloved features are missing. New Leaf, the previous game on Nintendo 3DS had multiple shops to explore. Leifs Garden shop, where you can get all your garden needs taken care of. Even K.K slider had its own club LOL where you could spend an evening watching him giving a great concert. Brewster another example opened a coffee shop in your town where you could actually work part time and serve hot delicious drinks to your villagers. One of my favorites where the island tours you could actually take a friend with you.
When New Horizon came out many of these things were not included in the game and while there were some leaks and mentions of Brewster making it into the game, we have yet to see such update. This is why many fans of the game consider the game incomplete at launch. Especially when you compare it to New Leaf which launched with all these features and only had one major content update years later after release, Welcome Amiibo that added the Amiibo support to the game.
Gaming has changed
Club LOL, Brewster And Leifs Shop in Animal Crossing New Leaf 3DS It is true that New Horizons is lacking some of the features we all have come to love and expect from previous games in the series. But looking at the gaming industry at a whole, this actually makes sense, from a cooperate standpoint anyway. Gaming is not entirely created only for the gamer anymore, instead it has become a mass product that has to appeal to as many people as possible, even people who don’t consider themselves “gamers”. Releasing content updates across multiple years keeps a game relevant and spreads news across social media channels over and over again even years after its initial release.
As Nintendo releases content updates every month, even if small, New Horizon makes the news on major gaming websites every time, creating more sales, bringing people back into the game and giving them the feeling there is something new to explore. When in reality all this content should have been in the game from the day it launched.
A good example is the ability to swim in the ocean a feature Nintendo held back to be able to make a splash a few months after its initial release adding a much requested feature.
In a way Animal Crossing New Horizons launched “complete” from the eye of Nintendo but fans of the series are certainly missing a lot of neat features that used to be in previous games. Leifs garden shop is now a temporary kiosk in the town plaza. K.K Sliders own club LOL has become a stool in front of the city hall. Brewster? He has not even showed up just yet.
This is why it is so important Nintendo gets competition in the village simulation market. Hokko Life for one is a great example of challenging Nintendo to do better.

Nintendo announced the next free updates coming to Animal Crossing New Horizons and it adds a mysterious new home and new spin on old events.
Nintendo just announced the next free updated coming to Animal Crossing New Horizons, while it is not the big update fans were hoping for, it still adds some new and fun content.
First of all the next DLC will put a slightly different spin on events we have already seen last year. This is according with a rumor from a while ago that pointed out that events may not be the same every year like they were in previous Animal Crossing games. Instead every year changes things up just a little bit to give more of an incentive for long time players to enjoy each event multiple times.
May Day (April29th – May 7th)
The first event we can look forward to enjoying will be held on a mysterious island that will feature a maze. You can pick up your May Day Nook Miles Ticket between April 29th and May 7th. Go explore the new maze!
International Museum Day (May 18 – May 31)
To celebrate international Museum Day Blathers will be handing out Stamp Cards that you can fill by exploring your museum for a special prize.
Wedding Season (June 1 – June 30)
Since Reese and Cyrus got married last year there is a slightly new event taking place at Harveys island every year celebrating the marriage of those two love birds.
In addition we can pick up wedding themed furniture from Nooks and the Able Sisters, these look just so cute!
Plenty of new Seasonal Items
There are plenty of new seasonal items during the month of May and June to celebrate various holidays. You can find the Mothers Day, Cheese Rolling and other collections in the Nook Shop app over the next two months.
Mysterious new home
Players have also spotted a brand new house design in the photos Nintendo released today. The home does not belong to any current villager. It is currently not known if Nintendo is also releasing new villagers with the next update or if this is simply a new design added to the game.
There have been many rumors towards a new Animal Crossing New Horizons Amiibo collection introducing new villagers. This could very well be a tease that new animals are soon coming to New Horizons!
As always we will have to wait for Nintendo to make an official announcement.

Talented fans of the Animal Crossing New Horizons have created a heartfelt short movie for the beloved village simulator.
Following this first Animal Crossing New Horizons short movie featuring Isabelles morning routine, a talented fan of the game has now created a new short movie that is just too adorable for words. There has only ever been one official Animal Crossing movie and it was only brought to life in the west thanks to the talented Animal Crossing community who dubbed the movie in English.
It seems that Animal Crossing itself makes a wonderful foundation for an animated movie and thanks to talented fans like Densle we get to enjoy these short but beautiful movies.
The short film called “in Boxes” is featuring village life and the overall wholesomeness and loving environment we came to expect from Animal Crossing games.
