The remake of the best Spongebob game ever released got a little playtime at this years Gamescom

Not too long ago it was announced that there is a remake in the works of the classic Spongey title, Spongebob Squarepants Battle for Bikini Bottom! Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated does not have a release date yet, but it is wishlistable on Steam. At this years Gamescom, a few fans got the chance to try the game out first hand. Keep in mind that the game is technically still in development, so the gameplay shown is not wholly representative of the final product.

There is mention that the developers still intend to put the finishing touches on the lighting and coloring. Not that the game needs too much work, as we can already tell that there has much improvement of the initial title, which was released back in 2003. It is only always a delight to join this most epic Sponge on every journey he partakes. Although this is just a remake, we can’t wait to see all the changes that have come to Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom. This title will be releasing on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
