Playtonic has finally announced the release date for Yooka-Laylee on the Switch. The 3D Platformer will officially be coming to Nintendo on December 14th, 2017. The release date is for the digital download on the Nintendo eShop, the physical version has yet to be confirmed.

Playtonic believes that the Switch version is the most optimized version to play as they’ve worked out the bugs and improved the gameplay since the initial release. If you’re fan of the old Rare games such as Banjo Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64 and have yet to play this game, December will be the time to get a copy if you own a Nintendo Switch.

Details were released that the Nintendo Project could be expanding within Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. It was originally expected that the Nintendo Park would only be taking up a portion of the KidZone behind the Simpson’s area.

However permits were recently released revealing that the Mario Kart and Donkey Kong sections will be a part of a large 8.8 Acre piece of land. Sources say that Universal wants the theme park to be enjoyable for both kids and adults, which could be why it will be expanding outside of the KidZone.

Dreams could potentially become a reality to older fans who have grown up with Nintendo. It is also rumoured that some of the park will be themed based on a potential film project for a Super Mario Bros. movie adaptation by the Illumination Entertainment Studio who is best known for the Despicable Me franchise.

As of right now, Nintendo Land in Universal Studios Japan is scheduled for 2020 in time of the Tokyo Summer Olympics with Orlando, Florida opening afterwards.

Portal Knights is a 3D sandbox survival crafting game with RPG elements. Taking inspiration from Minecraft and the real-time tactical fighting style from Legend of Zelda. Players can choose their class, explore islands, craft items, armour and weapons as well as create buildings, furniture & more.

The game can be played single player and co-op with friends (up to four). Currently receiving a positive reception on other consoles, it should be a great addition to the switch especially to play on the go.

Even with the recent release of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon last week, fans are heavily focused on the Pokémon RPG that is in development for the Nintendo Switch which was announced at E3 last year.

Redit User DasVergeben who leaked the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Enchantress being DLC in Injustice 2 is now revealing new information about Nintendo.

The Redit post lists exciting information about a new Animal Crossing game to be released next year, A Switch Virtual Console subscription service, The World Ends With You 2 as a Switch exclusive, and Blizzard porting Hearthstone for the Switch which has been talked about for awhile now.

Additionally the post includes information about the upcoming Pokémon RPG and that the code name “Pokémon Stars” was in fact real but simply a working title for a tech demo of Pokémon Sun & Moon for the Switch.

Its been discussed that Game Freak has taken inspiration from the reception of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey that they too would like to break the mold from their original formula and create something innovative.
