The Nintendo Switch hasn’t been out for much more than a month, and analyst are already starting to predict the future, more precisely a Nintendo Switch Mini. This announcement comes just one day after the incredible sales numbers of the Switch in the Unite States, with more than 900.000 units sold.

Analyst from Citgroup Incorporated, including highly trustworthy people likeKota Exawa, Minami Munakata, and Alicia Yap are all suggestion that a smaller version of the currently rather big Nintendo Switch would be released sometime in 2019. They believe that a smaller version would be necessary to capture more and every gamer, they stated that “Although the Nintendo Switch can be used as a handheld device, we think smaller children could struggle to use it comfortably in that format due to its size and weight.” 

Even though the Nintendo Switch Mini has not been announced in anyway, the group of analyst already predicts that it could sell 6.7 Million units through March 2019 if released during the Holidays of 2018.

A Nintendo Switch Mini could be highly possible, given that the trend of mini versions of other consoles like the Playstation 4 slim resonates well with gamers. However, it is to consider that the Nintendo Switch is not only a handheld console, but a stationary piece of hardware at it’s heart, it is still meant to play on the TV. It is  also questionable if players would want a smaller screen, a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe split-screen session on a screen smaller than 6 inch might make for a poor experience.
